Friends Annual Winter Book Sale Dates Announced!

The Friends of the Library have released a statement announcing the details of the 2025 Winter Book Sale:

The Friends of the Bristol Public Library is holding its annual Winter Used Book Sale from Wednesday, February 26 to Sunday, March 2 in the meeting rooms in the lower level of the Bristol Library, 5 High Street, Bristol. The sale includes more than eight thousand gently used hardcover and softcover books, DVDs, audio books, CDs and records. Books are priced from $.25 to $2.00, and a large selection of specially priced books will also be available.

The sale opens with Preview Night (a $5.00 admission fee applies) on Wednesday, February 26 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Regular sale hours (free admission) are Thursday, February 27 from 9:00AM to 7:00PM; Friday, February 28 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM; Saturday, March 1 from 9:00AM to 4:00 PM; Sunday, March 2 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Books will be sold at half-price all day Saturday, and the sale closes on Sunday with a $5.00 bag sale from 1:00 to 3:00PM. Specially priced books are not included in the half-price and bag sales but will be available for purchase.

The Winter Used Book Sale is the Friends’ primary fundraising event, and the proceeds help provide the Bristol libraries with items and services not included in the annual budget, such as summer reading programs for adults, teens and children, museum passes, and Friends-sponsored special programs. All of the items in the sale were donated by community members, and the Friends appreciate the generosity that makes this fundraiser possible.
