Seed Library Officially Opens for the Season on March 10

The Bristol Seed Library opens for the 2025 Season on Monday, March 10 @ 5:30 PM, followed at 6:30 PM by a presentation entitled “Splendid Seeds to Sow this Spring: Tips and Experiences with Direct Sowing,” with Master Gardener Susan Eisenhandler. The presentation is sponsored by our Gardening Discussion Group.

Seed Library

The Seed Library consists of flower, herb and vegetable seeds. Seeds are available to Bristol residents free of charge. Residents may receive up to 5 seed packets per season per adult resident. A valid adult Bristol Public Library card is required. Library cards are free to Bristol residents and are available at the Circulation Desk at Bristol Public Library or at Manross Memorial Library in Forestville. Splendid Seeds to Sow this Spring: Tips and Experiences with Direct Sowing

Welcome to a ‘pre-season’ discussion featuring reasons to try direct sowing in your garden this year. Many plants grow well via direct sowing of seed, and we will share experiences and tips about how to achieve optimal outcomes for annual flowers, herbs, and veggies. Presenter Susan Eisenhandler is a certified Advanced Master Gardener; Rosemary Circle Member of The Herb Society of America; and member of The Bristol Garden Club.
